At approximately 11:30 p.m., two officers were on patrol and saw a man with a backpack reportedly acting in a suspicious manner. When the officers tried to stop and question him, he reportedly took off running. The officers chased him, and Michael Hensley then stopped and allegedly opened fire with a pistol. He was shot and killed. Hensley was on parole at the time of the shooting and had an active arrest warrant for absconding from parole.
