Police tracked a stolen vehicle to a hotel near SR143 and University Drive. When officers confronted a couple there, they got into a stolen vehicle and took off. Sometime after leaving the hotel, the couple picked up the woman's 13-year-old son. Officers confronted them again, and the woman got out of the vehicle and shot at police, striking the police vehicle. Officers shot and killed Sylvia Bejarano.
