Police said a citizen called to report shots being fired during a disturbance in Ripley Park. Police said the caller reported the disturbance involved two people, both of whom were still in the park. Arriving officers found a man with a handgun. The man tried to flee, allegedly reached for the pocket that contained the gun and was shot and killed.
