About 5:40 p.m., officers were called to 214 SW 44, where a clerk said the store was robbed by a man with a gun, police said. The robber had left the store with a tracking device, and officers Drake Carder, Joshua Gershon and Corey Adams found Tony Lamont Mathis, who allegedly ran from officers and failed to comply with orders before he was shot and killed.
