Police were searching for Kenneth Wright Jr., who was wanted on two outstanding warrants for first-degree robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. Two police spotted Wright in the passenger seat of a vehicle, got out of their patrol car and started to walk toward the car. Salyers, who was behind the wheel, drove straight at the officers, police said. She was shot and killed, Wright ran away.
