An officer shot Said Joquin during a traffic stop for a failure to stop at a stop sign at around 4 p.m. A report by the Cooperative Cities Crime Response Unit said an investigation determined that the officer fired his weapon because he thought the man was about to reach for a gun in the car. Police reported there was a gun on the floorboard of the driver's side of the vehicle.
