Someone called police to complain that a man was driving through a parking lot. When police approached the vehicle, the driver took off, and police pursued them for 16 miles. The chase ended on top of the location of a two-vehicle fatal crash that happened hours earlier. Troopers said the person police were chasing tried to run over a trooper or officer, and the driver was shot and killed.
