An off-duty police officer shot and killed a burglary suspect at an upscale apartment complex. The University of Texas police officer was working security at the Arcadian Apartments when he responded to a call about a possible break-in. The officer found the door of apartment 731 kicked in. He went inside and confronted an apparent burglar. The suspect immediately charged him. As the two men fought,the officer managed to break free. He pulled his gun and fired. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
