About 5:15 a.m., a male and female officer were called to Al Basha for a burglary in progress. Kennith Hooker reportedly had broken out a window and was inside trying to pry open a lock box with a screwdriver. Police said he tried to attack the officers with the screwdriver, and they shot and killed him.
