A man was shot and killed by a Corona police officer in a shootout following a high-speed chase. At least two people were in the car during the chase, which began as officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call around 2:30 a.m. in Corona. The driver of a white sedan led officers to Norco before crashing, which is when the shootout began, and one of the people in the sedan was killed.
