Austin Macon, 18, and Teikivahimetani Shane Guilloux-Chevalier, 21, were stopped in the Cottonwood area. During the stop, Macon fired and shot a CHP officer, who has not been identified, in the right thigh. The officer returned fire and Macon was killed, Guilloux-Chevalier seriously injured, police said.
