Around 6:30 p.m. police were conducting an interview with Alberto Martinez. When the interview was ending, detectives attempted to arrest Martinez on an active warrant. Martinez began to fight their efforts to arrest him. During the struggle, he allegedly grabbed one of the detective's handguns and attempted to remove it from it's holster. Another detective shot and killed Martinez.
