About 4:30 p.m., officers were called to a Safeway for a report of a man with a weapon, breaking into a car. When police confronted Lane Martin, they reported that they first fired non-lethal rounds. Martin got up and ran after being hit by the bean-bag rounds. Officer Gary Doran then shot and killed Martin.
