When a Boyceville police officer responded to the home a 33-year old woman came to the door carrying a rifle in her hand. When the officer told the woman to drop the rifle she refused and then pulled a handgun out and pointed it at the officer. Detectives say that's when the officer fired one fatal round at the suspect.
