Police received a call around noon for a suicidal man with a gun inside his home. Robert Myers spent three hours talking with police, and fired shots inside the house, at officers and at an armored police vehicle. They did not return fire at that point. Police were able to get Myers to come out of the home, without weapons, around 4:20 p.m. He reportedly came out with a gun and swung it in the direction of an officer who shot and killed him.
