Police observed a burglary in progress and contacted the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. The Howard County police officers were instructed to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect's vehicle. During the traffic stop, the suspect vehicle rammed a Howard County police vehicle and drove toward officers who were out of their vehicles. Two officers fired, striking and killing the man. The woman driver was arrested.
