Faison was being a served a warrant for his arrest. After a short scuffle Fasion was shot and killed. Police allege Faison had a gun, but didn't say whether he was holding it at the time or if it was being pointed at officers. “It's got to stop. Got to stop. It happened in our small town," said Faison's cousin. Shatara Farrow, another cousin said, "Cops just shot him for no reason. We don't understand why at all.”
