Police state that during an area investigation, Officer Q. Vu and his partner pulled over a suspicious vehicle. The male passenger reportedly produced a gun and shot at Vu's partner, and during a struggle the gun was fired "several times." Vu says he repeatedly told the man to drop the gun, and then shot him. The female driver was uninjured.
