At about 10:18 a.m., police responded to a disturbance call at a home. When the officers arrived, they were told that a man in the residence assaulted a disabled person who was also still inside. The officers were able to remove the victim from the residence while the man barricaded himself inside. After hours of attempting to communicate with the subject in order to get him to leave the residence, the officers were confronted by the subject. The man assaulted the officers in addition to a police dog with the sharpened metal crowbar, and the officers shot and killed the man.
