Police were called to a domestic incident at 2:57 p.m. The person who called the Onondaga County 911 dispatch center reportedly said the man was on drugs, emotionally disturbed, and there was a disagreement over a small sum of money. About 4:30 p.m., the man reportedly pointed the weapon at a trooper, and the trooper fired one shot that hit the man in the abdomen and killed him. The man's weapon was a BB gun.
