Officers responded to calls of a person being stabbed shortly after 8 a.m. Officers arrived to an intersection near a homeless encampment along the Guadalupe River Trail, and found a man suffering multiple stab wounds. A man holding a knife nearby refused to comply when officers commanded him to drop the knife. One officer reportedly used a less-lethal weapon and the man turned and advanced toward officers who shot and killed him. Officers Thomas Barnard, Pete Christian, Oscar Medina and Armando Ramos were involved.
