Following a pursuit around 10:20 p.m., after reports of a box truck driver with a weapon, possibly shooting into a parked car, the truck's driver reportedly rammed a police cruiser. The chase ended when the truck got stuck in a yard. Police said after an hour of negotiations with the driver, John H. Ross II, he pulled out a rifle and pointed it at them, and they shot and killed him.
