Around 11:30 p.m. police officers attempted to stop Brad Stirewalt, who was suspected of intoxicated driving. Stirewalt allegedly fled into Jasper County, where his vehicle was pursued by multiple agencies. The pursuit ended in a parking lot when Stirewalt got out of the vehicle and allegedly fired a weapon at officers. Two state troopers and a Jasper County deputy shot and killed him.
