Around 4 p.m., police were called regarding a man was walking in the street holding a machete, who allegedly dropped his pants and exposed himself to some children. The first officer to respond saw the man in the street walking toward his home. He dropped the machete before he reached the house. The man then got onto his front porch and sat down. The man's mother was also on the porch several feet away. Officers responded to the scene and began talking to the man. The man allegedly pulled what appeared to be a gun and pointed it at the officers, who shot and killed him. The mother disputed many parts of the police story.
