Police were called to an "ongoing" domestic disturbance at a home involving an armed man, Roderick Bailey. Police said a second call came in involving Bailey at the Magnuson Hotel. Police found Bailey sitting in his car in the hotel parking lot. Officers asked him to get out of his vehicle, but he failed to comply with orders, and he allegedly fired at least one shot at the officers from inside his vehicle. A DeSoto officer shot and killed him.
