Deputies were responding to a report of a man who appeared to be high on drugs and was running in between children who were playing near an apartment complex. Two deputies arrived at 5:35 p.m. and tried to talk with Ethan Austin Murray, but he walked away and ignored them. He then went through a hole in a fence and began running toward a wooded area. One of the deputies caught up to Murray near a homeless camp. The deputy shot and killed him. Police withheld details as to what precipitated the killing.
