At about 3:19 a.m., Lakewood police were dispatched to a suspicious-circumstance call at an apartment. The man told dispatch that there was an unknown person in the apartment armed with a knife. He also said that his father and brother were there, but unaware of what was going on. While officers were on the way to the scene, the man told dispatch that the subject was now armed with a gun and knife. When officers arrived, apparent caller charged at the officers with a knife, police said. Three officers shot and killed Keith Harvey.
