Deputies responded to a home around 9:45 p.m., in reference to a man firing his gun into the air. When deputies arrived, they spoke to the 911 caller who said that Harold Thompson fired his gun into the air after their dog started barking at him. Police broke into the home, and Thompson reportedly came out of the back bedroom with a firearm, pointing the firearm at the deputies. Thompson allegedly shot at deputies before he was shot and killed.
