Officer James Gadd shot and killed Sierra McCouley after Knoxville police responded to multiple calls of a woman outside a home, nude and cutting herself. Another call came in saying the woman had cut someone else. Two officers arrived and found the woman armed with a military-style knife. She was shot and killed, although police withheld details as to what precipitated the killing.
