At about 8:10 p.m., police responded to a call that a 26-year-old and a 55-year-old had been assaulted. The man had reportedly been to the house several times that day and was acquaintances with at least one person who lived there. At one point, he had allegedly brandished a firearm and threatened someone with a knife. When officers arrived, the man had already left. As they were about to leave, he returned. He had one hand on a bike, and police said he appeared to reach for a weapon with his other hand. Officers reportedly told him to stop and shot and killed him. Police said they found the man's "nickel-plated automatic."
