Walton County 9-1-1 received multiple calls shortly before 9 a.m. about a man who was coming from under the U.S. 78 bridge with a gun. Two officers arrived to find a man dressed in a shower curtain and carrying what looked to be a machine gun. He was ordered to drop the item and was shot and killed when he reportedly pointed it at the officers. Mahlon Summerour was carrying a replica gun.
