Police stopped a suspected impaired driver at an intersection. Anthony C. Lopez allegedly refused to follow directions. Police said he accelerated backward, striking one of the officers and hit a patrol car. The officer reportedly dropped his less-lethal Taser, drew his firearm and shot and killed Lopez.
