Deputies were called at approximately 2:30 p.m. to a residence on reports of a trespasser in progress call. When deputies arrived a woman was inside the residence that does not belong to her. She was apparently known to police--commenters on social media said she was mentally ill--and had been accused of breaking into other homes in the area. Deputies ordered her to drop the knife, deputies then reportedly attempted to use less-lethal weapons that proved ineffective as she continued to advance toward deputies. They shot and killed her.
