Dwight Heckman allegedly assaulted a woman, strangled her and then dragged her out into the street, firing several shots from a handgun before he fled on a snowmachine, police said. The woman was reported safe with her family. When troopers found Heckman the following day, there was a gunfight, and Heckman was killed.
