Police were called to the Royal Colonial Condos around 10:30 p.m. when a woman reported that her husband, Tim Berger, was intoxicated and fired a gun inside their home. Several officers responded to the home and were allegedly threatened when they tried to make contact with Berger, and officers James Scheiner and Taylor Payne shot and killed him.
