Around 6 p.m. police received a call of a domestic violence situation with a weapon. While taking the report, the 9-1-1 dispatcher could hear shots being fired in the background of the call. When officers arrived, James Danforth was gone. He returned to the home and shot at the officers, who shot and killed him.
