Deputies were patrolling the area when they noticed a suspicious vehicle, facing the wrong way on the street. A person was sitting in the driver's seat, and a man was standing outside of the vehicle. When the deputies approached, the man standing outside the vehicle ran, armed with a handgun, police said. The deputies chased after the man and shot and killed him, although what precipitated the killing was not reported.
