Police received a call from a child who reported their father had broken into a Los Banos apartment through a window, police said. When the first officer arrived, he met the man's children, who directed him to the apartment. The officer attempted to convince the man to step outside so the two could speak further, but the man was argumentative and would not comply. The man and the officer fought, and the officer used a Taser, but the man removed the electrical probes. A second officer arrived, but another struggle erupted, and the man was shot and killed.
