One trooper shot and killed a man who may have been in a gunbattle moments before who allegedly pointed a gun at him. Michael T. Ward Jr. and Jaquan M. Griffin were killed. Moments later, Griffin staggered into the restaurant from the parking lot and collapsed on the floor and two friends took him in their car to Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
