Police stopped a black Chevy Camaro for an invalid license plate, but the driver sped off. Police later noticed the car parked with its lights off at 21st and Adams streets. When they approached, the driver sped off, then lost control of his vehicle and hit a fence, a tree, and an officer's vehicle. When two officers on foot approached the car, it accelerated toward them and one officer fired his weapon, killing Jesus Deltoro.
