Police saw a fight taking place between four people in a neighborhood near 63rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Shots were fired between one of the combatants and the officer, police said. The man who fired shots fled in a silver vehicle, but was found deceased in the backyard of a home with multiple gunshot injuries. Police weren't immediately able to determine if the injuries came from the initial exchange of gunfire.
