Police said they received a call from a woman who said her ex-boyfriend had broken into her apartment. When she walked in, he put a gun to head, then went past her and fired a round, stepped back and pointed the gun at her head. She got out safely, but he barricaded himself inside. For several hours, negotiators tried to convince the man to surrender. When he came out of the building, he pointed a gun at officers. Three SWAT officers responded by each firing a single shot, killing him.
