Deputy Kevin Crutcher had attempted to make a traffic stop of a Ford F-150, which pulled into a driveway. Pigg got out of the vehicle and walked to the door of a home. State police said Pigg ignored verbal commands and then shot Crutcher. After being struck, Crutcher shot and killed Pigg.
