Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department and Indiana State Police responded to a call about shots fired at an AutoZone. When they arrived on scene, officers found a man with a gun outside of the business. According to police, the suspect began to fire shots at officers while trying to flee. He was shot and killed by Fort Wayne Police Officer David Wilkins.
