After threatening his girlfriend with a gun, Ochoa led police on a chase. Police tracked him down at a home with seven people inside. Officers chased him into the backyard where police say he pulled out several large kitchen knives. Officers attempted to use a less lethal beanbag round, but were unsuccessful. Ochoa continued to advance towards officers with the knives, and police shot and killed him.
