A woman called 911 to report that a 52-year-old man was threatening suicide. Officers responded and removed the woman from the home and then spent 40 minutes negotiating with the man, who was holding a handgun to his head inside the home, according to police. When the man eventually came out of the house, he continued talking with a crisis negotiator while pointing the gun at his head, chest and mouth. When the man pointed the gun at officers and nearby people, he was shot and killed.
