Police arrived at Verrett after they were called in reference to a domestic battery incident. Deputies say when they arrived Tanya Verrett said her husband, William Verrett had “battered her,” and he had a shotgun. Police say they fired and hit him several times. William Verrett died from his injuries on scene.
