Hunt died in a confrontation with police after someone had called 911 about a stabbing occurring near the Artesia Courts apartment complex. Hunt had allegedly stabbed his 29-year-old wife, her 25-year-old brother and a 24-year-old neighbor that lived in the complex. Hunt then allegedly left the complex and entered a convalescent home on the south side of the street, where he allegedly stabbed three female employees. Police arrived at the scene, and Hunt allegedly charged at police and was then shot.
