Kelsey Box, a paraplegic and tough truck racer, called troopers at 10:27 p.m. to report that her father, Robert, was abusing her. Troopers Gregor West and Heather Smyth responded. One or both shot Robert, carrying a pistol, on the driveway of the residence. He died at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
