Morgan, a Baptist pastor, followed his wife of 40 years into a store and confronted her for abandoning him for his best friend, their neighbor. The owner of the store called 911 as he waved a pistol in the air and made threats. Major Matt Shaw and investigator Brad Whitesides responded. They shot Morgan. He died at Springs Memorial Hospital.
